Rafting Cataract CanyonAt the confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers, upstream from Lake Powell, lies Cataract Canyon. Here, rapids as large as those of Grand Canyon await boaters who have spent several days floating through the incredible scenery of Canyonlands National Park. High water departures in May and June feature awesome whitewater, while late season dates may be accompanied by inflatable kayaks for those who want to paddle their own way downstream. Trips operate on both the Green river and Colorado river above the confluence, depending on the outfitter and where they meet. Options include motor trips of 2,3, or 4 days, and oar powered trips of 5 or 6 days. Trips can be arranged from Green River or Moab, Utah, or Grand Junction, Colorado.
